College of Counseling and Health Care
The College of Counselling and Health Care (CHC) aims to train and mobilise Christians to evangelise and disciple individuals, families, communities and nations through an integrated biblical model of family, and through biblical counselling and health care. One important focus is the poor and needy. The integrated biblical approach, which the trainees learn, can be adapted to particular cultural and social settings, and is a powerful way to reach into the lives of these individuals and families. Biblical counselling training equips trainees to deal with: relational needs, family issues, conflict, compulsive behaviours, abuse and the wounds of justice. Health care begins with the physical needs of individuals as an entry point into the family and community as a whole. Trainees learn skills in: assessment, treatment, prevention and education. Students must complete the Certificate 3 in Discipleship (DTS) before other courses are taken.
